I don’t usually gravitate towards an all black look, but this jacket was screaming to be the stand out piece and I actually forgot how much I love black! These cutout booties are from Angelina Shoetique and are under $30 and also come in nude! I really like the cutout detail because it takes the edge up a bit more on this look and really compliments the extra strappy’s on this top as well. I got a lot of compliments on my hair on Insta for this look and it’s super easy to do! I used a curling wand and curled the pieces all in the same direction (away from my face), but just left the ends out so they would be straight at the ends. This makes you’re hair look longer than curling it all the way down to the tips and it also leaves that extra heat off the most damaged part of your hair, win/win. I am in desperate need of a color touch up too (it’s been 5 months!!!) so I’m feeling somewhat in a hair slump and can’t wait to kick the blonde up next week for a fresh Spring do! I’ve honestly just been waiting for my tax return to come so I can get it done… and I’m losing my mind!
We didn’t up going anywhere new this past weekend because the weather hasn’t really been on our side, but we did try two new restaurants and two new coffee shops! So that counts for being adventurous, right??? We had Brunch at Marmalade Cafe off Ventura Blvd and the Berry/Banana French Toast was seriously the tastiest and prettiest that I’ve had! We rarely go out for breakfast, but this will have to become a regular thing because this place was just too good! How was everyone’s long weekend?! I made Michael drive all over the valley to different Home Goods stores so I could shop for the house. We ended up buying a new rug for our living room and some really cool succulents in concrete bases for the dining table! I think long weekends should just be a regular thing and the work week should only be 4 days… Who’s with me?!
