What better way to bring in the chilly season than a sweater dress with plaid details and a braided hair crown?! It hasn’t been very cold yet in Southern California so it’s been a little tough to get my Fall/Winter vibe on. I suggest light layering for that cozy feeling we’ve all been dreaming of by adding some rich vibrant tones mixed with some plaid. Next thing you know you’ll be sipping on some hot chocolate by the warm fireplace feeling like the Princess of plaid. In my case it’s a faux fireplace with light up flames because heat is just not necessary on these 80 degree November days.
I fell in love with this Kenneth Cole dress not only because of it’s comfort factor, but also its versatility. You can literally dress it up with heels or throw on a leather jacket with some biker boots for some edge. I have the hardest time wearing my clothes more than once unless it’s paired with different things so it evolves into a totally different outfit. However, if it is chilly in your neck of the woods…this sweater dress also pairs quite nicely with tights, a long wool coat, and your favorite pair of booties. I decided on these suede color blocked heels by BCBG that I bought a couple of years ago. They are so comfortable and undeniably stunning. I tried to find them online or at least some similar but found no such luck. I do know that Zara has had some great Color Blocking heels in the past though!
This Double Braided crown is just everything to me! It’s super easy to achieve and dresses up any outfit. It’s also the perfect style for when you just don’t feel like washing your hair. I always get compliments when I wear my hair up like this and it’s so funny to me because it’s usually because i didn’t want to take the time to wash and blow dry it! To make it more of an angelic wispy style be sure to pull out the braids before pinning them so they’re extra full. These braids are effortlessly intricate and demand attention.
This is the perfect ensemble for the upcoming Holiday season. There is nothing worse to me than being uncomfortable and dressed up at an all day family function. However, being cute is also a top priority and this dress has the right balance of pretty and comfort!
