Okay okay, so we went slightly crazy… We loved riding the Vespa so much that two days later we ended up renting the Vintage Fiats as well to cruise about the countryside. We were not let down at all and I suggest everyone do this! It was such a fun date day and how often do you get to ride under the Tuscan sun in a Vintage tiny vehicle?! This was a manual and I’m not a huge fan of driving manual in Foreign cities, so Michael did all of the driving. {I just posed for the pic!} They are so fun to ride in though even as a passenger!

We started out our day by first touring the Duomo. This is by far my most favorite of buildings, EVER. This Basilica is so magnificent in size and it’s intricate details inside and out are literally breathtaking! I love the pink and green on the exterior and the Dome from the inside just beams with beauty. In all of the Basilicas in Italy you must have your shoulders and knees covered. Since I was wearing an above the knee skirt, I just did some quick thinking and wrapped my shall around my waist like a long skirt and it seemed to work out perfectly. I was not going to miss the chance to see the inside of this stunning building for anything! We spent the rest of our day riding through Tuscany and visiting some really cool Olive Tree Farms. Our last stop was at a super sheik Farmhouse high up in the hills for a traditional Italian feast with some much needed Vino.

We could not have found a better AirBnb then the one we ended up with for Florence. It was Elegant, Rustic, and had Italian charm. The glass wall separating the rooms and the vaulted wooden ceiling were just the perfect touch. San Niccolo was a great location as well because we were only a five minute walk into the busy city or a five minute walk into the Tuscan Country.

Aside from having to makeshift a skirt to visit the Duomo, this was the perfect outfit for the day. Once again I wore sandals because we walked so much in Italy, there would be no way I could’ve pulled off heels for more than 20 minutes in that city! This is one of my favorite shirts because you can wear it so many different ways by dressing it up or even dressing it down by tying it around your waist. {Pairs nicely with white jeans as well} All summer I was really loving the suede skirts but couldn’t bring myself to purchase one. This Faux version was a nice compromise and certainly saved me some pretty pennies. I fell so in love with city and was seriously trying everything I could to get Michael to want to move here. Who knows maybe one day if we coerce our entire family to move with us then maybe he’ll be up for it! Florence became our favorite city that we visited in Italy and we will definitely be returning.
